BC Advanced Workplace Level 3 First Aid

This course provides First Aid & CPR techniques, for individuals who require advanced first aid for the workplace. Meets British Columbia Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations administered through WorkSafe BC; provincial, and territorial Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations; Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) Canadian Labour Code; Canadian Occupational Health and Safety (COHS) regulation. It takes the applicant through the elements of some nine segments of first aid, leading up to Advanced Multiple Patient Care which incorporates elements of Triage coupled with Patient Packaging, Immobilization and Transportation. These courses were formally known as Industrial First Aid

Prerequisites:

• Be 16 years of age or older.
• Hold a valid Level 1 certificate or equivalent, or higher program.
  We typically schedule a Level 1 course immediately preceding this course to facilitate this requirement.
• Be physically able to complete the course (a medical may be required)

Course Outline

• 2 week (76 hour) course with flexible scheduling options
• Successful Candidates are awarded a 3-year certification recognized in the Workplace as equivalent to OFA 3
• When required, re-examination is available for an additional charge
