FIRST AID INSTRUCTOR PATHWAY
To become a certified Wilderness & Remote First Aid Instructor, you need to:

Be at least 18 years old.
Hold a valid Canadian Red Cross participant-level certification in the relevant discipline.
Successfully undergo a skills evaluation.
Attend the discipline-specific classroom component.
Complete the teaching experience at your desired course level.
INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
Certifications are valid for three years and align with the courses you intend to teach. Certification options include:

Remote First Aid Instructor (RFAI): Certified to teach Remote First Aid.
Wilderness First Aid Instructor (WFAI): Certified to teach Remote First Aid and Wilderness First Aid.
Wilderness First Responder Instructor (WFRI): Certified to teach Remote First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Oxygen Therapy, Airway Management, Basic Life Support, and First Responder.
