Standard First Aid and BLS Recert

Re-certification course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for individuals who require CPR in the health care field. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and  provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Basic Life Support replaces HCP classes for health care professionals. Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation.  


Current (Valid) Standard First Aid + BLS Certification

Course Overview

  • 9-hour course with flexible scheduling options (A 16-hour course is available for those not holding a valid certification)
  • Includes BLS (for individuals who require CPR in the health care field)
  • Provides you with a 3-year valid certification for SFA and 1 year for BLS
  • Includes AED (Automated External Defibrillation) certification
This course meets OFA requirements for WorkSafe BC

  • Wound Care: Minor and Major

  • How to deal with sudden medical conditions and environmental emergencies

Courses are scheduled when requested by our clients. Since we don't have any scheduled dates for this type of course right now, you can request one. It's usually best to try and plan ahead about 2 weeks but we can work with tighter schedules especially with groups.
